~*~The Shifting War - RP (Role Play)~*~

Jesse saw the figure in the doorway. She tried to see who it was .. She could tell it was a man . She shivered. I wonder if he's a shapeshifter, She felt his eyes on her. Her hand slowly crept down her side to her knife , just in case. She walked closer staying in the shadows. I wonder,if I should call out something, maybe it is a hunter, I can't go on much further . But it's a man.. can I trust him? She called out , not terribly loud but loud enough to be heard." Hello there" She stepped into the light.

(Ok lol I'll try to make it longer and I'll check out pg 55' did u see Jesse's pic I believe it's like a page or two back )

Chase kept his eyes trained on the young woman as she stepped into the light, suspicion and anticipation of her possibly being a diversion, while other shifters snuck around back making his musicals tense, but he kept his expression neutral, as if he was neither relaxed nor on alert. The thing is, no one ever came out to his cabin unless he showed them the way, and there were very few people he had shown, only a handful of local Hunters knew where to find him. Of corse, there was always the chance that he had been followed, as he had suspected earlier.

"Good evening," Chase called back, a slight hesitant edge to his low, smooth voice, though he overall sounded friendly, or at least not aggressive.

((Thanks Beaky, and yeah, I read Jesse's form and saw her pic, you did a nice job. :) ))

Jesse continued forward slowly. "Who are you? And what are you ? " Her voice was not commanding but smooth and even "I don't mean any harm, I hate intruding like this, you see I'm just passing through." She glanced up meeting his eyes. She was only about ten feet away now. Her eyes wide, and scared .

Chase was surprised by her blunt question, for if he wasn't Hunter, and was just an ordinary person, unaware of the way, it wouldn't have made any sense. Now he knew for sure that she was either a shifter or a Hunter, and that worried him. But as she continued, and her eyes met his, he could tell that her wards were true and couldn't help but let his guard down ever so slightly. "My name's is Chase, Chase Webber. I'm a Hunter." Chase replied, his tone a bit lighter, the slightest of kind, pitying smiles on his face as he took his hand off the knife hilt, "You?"

"I'm Jesse. I'm a hunter as well, I wouldn't blame you if you don't believe me. " She looked down her hair falling in her face . She brushed it back . Her vision blurred slightly and she began to slightly loose her balance. The near two week journey without much rest at all was getting to her. She started to freak out a little. i can't pass out I don't know him, I can't trust him he might hurt me But despite her efforts everything g grew so dim and she fell.

((There better be))
Arwen glanced at her watch. Man, time had gone by fast. "I think that's enough torture for my friends for one day... I gotta go." She grabbed her bag and started walking home, turning around and flashing him a smile. "Bye..." Her friends immediately went to their phones, bombarding her with taxts about what they were talking about. It was a well-known fact in her small circle that she liked Will.

(You're welcome)

((Not technically cannibalism, I think. Well, half-cannibalism... they're both shifters, but different kinds of shifters))

((Hold your horses, I haven't even thought something up yet!))

"Oh..." Jayden relaxed instantly at her answer, blowing out a breath that he hadn't realized he'd been holding and answered, "Okay-okay, you have no idea about the war, you need to talk with my Gran, she's a black and silver fox." Now this, in his opinion, was going to be awesome, being that now she had a good reason to come over and 'hang out'. Jay had learned everything he knew about the war from Granny, so there was no reason why Skye couldn't also learn from her. Well, maybe there was, maybe Granny wouldn't be happy that he had met another shifter. But he didn't care, he was too happy, because for one thing, how could Skye turn down his friendship now?! This is so the best day of my life... Jay thought in a slightly sarcastic, very pleased way.

((Ah, good, you sound much better!

((We're playing them right now, you want to have Asher go to the hospital {at some point! give a little time for surgery!} to see how Khloe is doing? [There is still a possibility that she's going to die...
hmm.png
{NOOO!}]))

"You can be very confusing when you want to be," Skye stated with a flick of her tail. "And what 'war'? Is this like a miniature world war three or something?" Despite the questioning way she spoke, Skye was full of questions now- her curiosity overtaking any suspicion she had felt before. Seeing as the only other shifter in her family had been her brother, there was no way for her to have known what Jayden was talking about. After all, he was the first shifter she knew of living in the area. But if Jay's Granny was a shifter as well... wouldn't there be more of them? Whatever the answer would be, Skye was intrigued; her eyes fixed on the other fox and ears pricked.

((Thank you! C: ))

((Ok, sounds like a plan to me! [Noooooo!!!! Don't do dat to her ;.; ]))

"Are you alright, Jesse?" Chase asked hurriedly as her head drooped and she started to sway, concern showing in his features as he stepped forward quickly and made up the distance between them as she collapsed. He caught her just before she hit the ground, and lowered carefully to the leaf strewn forest floor. "Jesse? Jesse, can you hear me?" Chase said urgently, shaking her by the shoulders gently, but it was no use. For a moment he debated what to do, then with a sigh, he easily scooped her limp form into his strong arms, and after a moments pause, carried her back to the ajar door and used his foot to open it.

Once inside, Chase laid her down on the leather couch, lifting her head and sliding a pillow under gently, than walked back to the door and shut it as dusk approached, the breeze beginning to turn cold. He walked into the open kitchen and leaned against the counter, arms crossed and face set. Well, I guess I should make food... He thought, grabbing a the colander of vegetables he had washed earlier, pulled a knife from the drawer and began chopping them into chunks on the chopping board at the rustic kitchen table, glancing up at Jesse occasionally to see if she was waking.

Jesse slowly started waking up. Her head pounded. Then her heart. She sat up quickly, and looked around. It took a few minutes to realize where she was . Chase. Cabin. Woods. Hunter her head raced as she remember. She tried to regain her composer and fix her hair. She rearranged her checkered shirt. She glanced around the cabin. " Chase? " She said softly.

((Hold your horses, I haven't even been reading that line of story, so please inform me! Please?... O_O ))

If Jayden was in his human form at that moment, Skye would have seen his cheeks flush a bright pink under her intent, questioning gaze. He brushed easily anyway, but being 'under pressure' by a girl that he liked, and had just learned was like him made it doubly worse. "Oh, um, well, not a 'miniature world war three', but ah..." Jay stumbled over his words, then in a very un-fox like way, rolled his eyes, "Sorry, I'll try to explain this best I can. There are three sides to the war: there are True, who are shifters that try to protect humans from shifters that want to kill off all of humanity, I'm a True and so is my Gran; then there's Feral, who are shifters that see themselves as better than humans and want to kill them all off; and last of all, there's Hunters, they are non-shifters, humans, that don't know the difference between the good and the bad shifters and kill'em all." He shifted his weight slightly, uncomfortably, wondering how she'd react.

((I know, I don't want her to die either, but we'll just have to see where it goes. BAWHAHA!!!))

"Fergens is the largest hospital in the area, so that would make sense." Ryan replied, sighing and looking away for a moment, the clock read 4:37. He looked back to them and continued, "I'm going to head over there." He pulled out his wallet from his back pocket, opening it and pulling out a few crisp twenties, "Here, you're probably want to order in, the fridge is full but it's all labor intensive kinda cooking stuff, unless you're in the mood for roasting a duck or something." Ryan smiled and held out the bills for Ari or Mark to take.

((Thanks poult, without Zuri remembering that, they'd be a bit stuck!))
Ari reached over and gently pushed his hand back to him with a smile "I got left here all day, I already had some food cooking." She said then glanced to Mark then over to Zuri and back to Ryan "Just let us know how she's doing, please. She had cleaned up behind herself as she went, so there wasn't a mess to show for the action, though it still had another half hour to cook before it would be ready.
