~*~The Shifting War - RP (Role Play)~*~

"Good, though he probably wouldn't know the difference if you had no idea what you were doing." He said in a conspiratorial way, then continued in his normal, upbeat, confident tone, "I don't actually know him that well, but he's family, my uncle. Well, my sister's uncle, my step uncle, it's complicated, we have different dads," he gave a slightly apologetic smile, then looked around to where Ryan was picking up a compound hunting bow from one of the displays close to them.

Zack smiled widely, "Hey, I forgot to tell you, your special order boots and bow came in this morning, the bow's way better them that one." He gestured to the bow Ryan was holding.

Ryan smiled slightly, them lifted the to shoulder height, pulling back the string all the way with right hand, "Yeah, this one is off-balanced, and it could use a degree or so more curve to the upper and lower limbs," Ryan said more to himself than anyone else, then let out the tension in the string and took a closer look at it, "And the limb bolts could be sturdier, and the grip feels wrong."

"Ah, well I have no clue what any of that meant," Zackary laughed.

Joseph then came out of the back room, holding a clipboard, "I don't need much information, just the basics: full name, the date you'll be working here till, billing address, and a few other small things." He held it out for Mark to take, planing on going back to his office once the boy took it.
Mark took the clipboard and nodded then glanced to Ari then to Ryan before he started filling out what he knew. He put the end date as a month away then looked to Ryan again "I will need your address to put on here since we are staying with you" He said then looked to Joseph again "I am not certain of the time we will be leaving here. It depends on if we can find our cousin or not. I know we can be here for a month at least though" unless hunters or the feral catch up he added to himself.

Ari moved off to pick up a crossbow and look it over quietly. "That could be fixed easily enough with the right tools and some time. Probably have to get a completely new grip and bolts but otherwise it's just reworking the wood to balance and fix the curve" She said to Ryan's assessment of the bow as she pulled the string back on the crossbow, checking it over for imperfections then letting the tension out of it to put it back on the shelf again

Danika turned down the last street to get to the school, running to get to it before she could be any later than she already was. She had woken to realize that she had forgotten to set the alarm the night before and was rushing through the streets. She noticed a few people up ahead of her and slowed to a jog so she wouldn't run them over.

Arwen leaned casually against an outer wall of the building, enjoying the last breaths of fresh air before she had to go to class. Luckily, it was right next to the door, where she currently was, and she could slip inside at any moment to not be late.

((Sorry, I'm really busy so I won't be able to rp for about 3 hours.))

Joseph nodded, "That's fine, I'd still be glad if you only were able to work for the week, this place is very short staffed at the moment, and business is going through the roof." He said as he walked away towards the back of the store.

Ryan looked up from the bow as Mark asked for his address, "I'll be right over," Then Ari walked over. He was surprised at how much she seemed to know about bows, but was more surprised that she had even listened to what he had said, "Um, I–" he paused, then forced himself to keep going, but still kept his eyes on the bow, "I agree, about that crossbow, but the compound bow, is just not worth it, the limbs themselves would probably snap after a year of use,"

Zack smirked as he noticed Ryan shyly speaking with Ari, when he and Ryan had first met, Zack had, with some weaseling for information, found that Ryan really didn't know anyone that he could call a friend, and had even more trouble in the girl department. "How'd you guys meet? By the way, he's not the type to go out of his way to meet others." Zackary asked in a low voice with a slight frown.

Ari looked to him then smiled and put the crossbow back up "Maybe. I like the bow made of yew. It's strong and durable, great for making and english longbow from"

Mark glanced to Ryan then looked to Zack "We found him stargazing this morning on our way into town. We got to talking and now here we are." He said then shrugged.

"Interesting," Zack said with a nod, feeling as if there was more to the story, but he wasn't going to push for information, that would be rude. Though, he had done that with Ryan when the dude had only come into the store to put in a order.

Ryan blushed slightly when she smiled at him, "Yew is a good wood for that... Um, I better go give her brother my address," he gave Ari a slight smile, then hung the bow back on its rack and walked over to Zack and Mark.

"Here, I'll put my address down," Ryan held his hand out to take the clipboard.
