Khloe matched Asher's pace, glad that he seemed just as eager to shift as she was. Though she was starting to feel a bit nervous about it, being that she had only ever shifted with Zack or their mother around. But she pushed the doubts away, knowing that they would only hold her back from truly living her life on her terms. They reached the edge of the woods, and Khloe looked back over her shoulder, once, then moved into the forest with Asher.

"So when was the last time you shifted? I haven't been able to much lately" Asher glanced at Khloe, attempted to start conversation again as they moved into the trees. He looked back for a moment down the road, being cautious about anyone who might happen to see them. He ducked his head a bit to avoid being whacked in the face with a surprisingly low branch

"Well, I actually did two days ago. Sense I moved to town last week, I've been coming out to the woods every chance I get, not this area of them, though." Khloe replied, a small, apologetic smile on her face, as she ducked the low hanging branch, but being that she was 5'7, she didn't have to duck far.

Asher nodded, still giving the occasional glance around. "Where'd you move from?" He asked. "We shouldn't have to go to much further, I don't think many people come around here" Ash added

"Well, my brother and I were born in Brazil, our mother moved us to New Mexico, when Zack was 5 and I was 1, and we lived there with her until we found out that my uncle, Joseph, lived in Sunnydale. So, we moved here." Khloe finished a bit awkwardly, being that it was obvious that there was more to the story, people don't just move across country away from their mother to get to know their uncle.

Khloe then smiled and turned the question on Asher, "What about you, have you always lived here?"

((Sorry I haven't been posting a lot, my parents just came back from a trip to move our stuff from the west coast, so I have a TON of work to do unpacking. But I'll be posting more as the days go by, I just had to unpack the truck over the last few days.))

They were nearly at a spot that would be safe enough for them to shift, he glanced at his watch again. Still late. Ash frowned ever so slightly at Khloes question, but answered it in his pleasant smooth tone all the same. "Pretty much, I think it's been just about nine years since my family moved here"
