The Silver Laced Wyandotte Thread

Both look like pullets to me. My cockerels have a band of black around the neck, while the pullets have lacing on the neck.

thank you I have never had SLW's before and so I know nothing about them as far as sexing goes... 4 pullets is what I am hoping for so good news, thnks again.

Here's a few bad pics of my SLWs. They are so much prettier in real as I have only my droid for pic taking. My sister takes awesome photos so I'm going to have her take some of them. I LoVE these birds! My most beautiful flock. They are 20 weeks old in these photos.

i have ones from a feed and seed two from hatchry... wonder if mine will look anywhere close to these. how do you tell the sex??

Flustered?  As in confused/agitated?  Or is there some chicken meaning I am not privy too? LOL

The comb area is red but nothing raised as of yet.

So bummed if its a cockerel.  I'm sure I'd find a good home, but then have to find a SLW hen.  I really want one!!!

this is my little girl Lola at 2 days 1 week and a week n half. She has started to grow her tail. Awww it's so cute !! She is a lover! I need to take updated photos. I already have 3 EE 3RIR. I couldn't pass her up ! She's the only silver lace I own. Can't wait to see what a beauty she becomes!!

Thank you! I don't know anything about this beautiful breed but I am reading up. A question she has a white patch on top of her head. Is this normal? I did get her from the feed store. I understand the quality will not be as good. I am glad she has a home she actually is a head strong little one compared to my other 6 at that age! Is that a normal tempermant of a SLW?

All of mine have different personalities. Mine came from Tractor Supply.

I got her from a feed store. However I also purchased 2 ameraucauna's intern were EE's and looks like one is a Roo . They are all 3 suppose to be pullets. It's ok I love then all however I can't keep my Roo I already have one I adore! From what I understand the girls from the feed stre or not as pretty. Next spring I will be hatching my own.
