Thanks for the info. I don't think we will get eggs all winter tho, I'm not going to give them artificial light and we don't have that S Texas sun in Dec/Jan. Yes first eggs will be exciting around here.We got this one about 2 months ago. She's not from our original group from June 2012. We decided to add two more this spring and she is one of them along with a wellsummer. We can't wait for eggs though. The ones I got in June 2012 were about 8 - 10 weeks of age when we got them. They all laid eggs by the fall and kept on laying through the winter, so you should get eggs by this fall I would think. It's very exciting to get those first eggs!
