The Sleep Sock Trick

hi folks! Everyone here at BYC has been so incredibly helpful and kind and generous with their advice from the start, we've been racking our brains in what we could contribute to thank you all! This is the one thing we found that we thought might be of interest:

Since only two chicks hatched from her first round, they were feeling pretty lonely and often had trouble going to sleep unless we held them in our hands. We realized they needed to feel snuggled up as if they were in a chick-puppy-pile :)

So we took some old socks (you know, how one sock always ends up single after washing), cut a hole at the end so that the chicks' heads could peek out, and now at bedtime we put them in the socks, under the brooder, and they're asleep within 30 seconds!
