This Snare is A LETHAL DEVICE if not properly set ,it is NON LETHAL device if set properly and according to YOUR states laws , what makes a Snare lethal is if the target animal becomes entangled in 1 Fences ,2 trees shrubs bushes ,3 farm equipment ,To make the snare non lethal ,set the snare only on the desired pathway that the OFFENDING predator have regularly taken ,make sure to have minimal entanglement areas ,you can catch the animal without killing in a snare ,go by your states guidelines before ever buying a snare ,there are so many revisions its to numerous to mention.m

The lock slides down the steel wire but doesnt back off ,the tighter the longe of the animal the cinch cinchs down. but some locks relax as the animals relax and these locks should be used near high pet areas.

The breakaway device S Hook, it breaks at manufacturing stats i use 280 lbs to catch coyotes, this is used to be the weak link between the lock and cable so that if an accidental deer ,cow ,bear ,moose ,gets a leg tangled it can freely with one kick be free ,coyotes dont have enough power to free themselves.

the snare end on this is adjustable enabling you to bring the snare back through it self to fasten to Big enough tree ,or post.

The most important aspect of using a snare is fastening, it has to be fastened down because an entangled Animal has four legs in which to pull with ,you do not use wire to fasten snares it WILL NOT hold ,an animal will break wire by the twisting actions. You use cable 7x7 trap supply catalogue s have all you need to fasten Traps or Snares.

SNARE Length ,will determine if it is LETHAL ,, the shorter the safer but also harder to get loop size in order to catch Coyote or fox , the longer more able to tangle.'

Loop sizes 11 inch for coyote ,9 for fox ,6 for coon ,loop heigths off the ground also 11 for coyote.

Later in the thread i will show simulated Coyote set ,REMEMBER that the local dogs following the same paths will also become entangled, but most dogs will not go Bezerk and fight so long that it kills, most dogs lay down and wait,CHECK THE SNARES ,never skip a day always by the law s of your states check your snares no coyote or by chance pet should stay in a snare ,,If the coyotes are caught Dispatch is entirely up to you ,use your states laws as the guidelines, , never release a caught coyote ,dont even try ,you will not get the snare off unless you have the right cable cutters.

pic of up close coon snare in a trail ,using coat hanger as a support, and a very tiny zip tie ,right behind the lock ,this is crucial point of getting the snare to perform as the coon or coyote passes thru .
