"I'm Camila" She said "as you can see, my power is invisibility, I feel like it could be very useful."

Alina gave a shy smile of welcome, and Calder looked Camila up and down, not particularly impressed and not trying to disguise it.

Ember (Alina) then took out a sketchbook and pencil, which rapidly flew over the thick textured paper. The glinting of her startlingly blue eyes belied how focused she was.

Calder peered over her shoulder, squinting. "Whoa," he commented, sardonically, "Your handwriting is like beetle tracks."
Alina jumped, and then met his gaze for a moment. "Why, thank you, sir," she said stiffly, before turning back to Camila.

"You might be just the person we need." she said, the blues in her eyes merging like swirling mists. "In fact," she added, poring over the page, "that's a big understatement."

Camila didn't say anything but she looked interested. Her outline blurred slightly when she noticed how Calder was looking at her but she quickly focused it again.

Calder turned and strode across the room, his cloak floating gracefully behind him. Alina glanced at him thoughtfully.
"Camila," she eventually said, hesitantly, "I have an idea. But it involves putting you at some risk."

Calder looked back at them, incredulity in his eyes. "So genius really can cause someone to go mad," he muttered, listening carefully.

Alina looked at him, then beckoned him over. "Calder, you can turn the charm on when you want to. I've seen it. Now perhaps you could use that to help the Society."

She turned the pages of her sketchbook, pausing at a diagram of the palace interior. She pointed to one of the doors. "Here's where we've all been for training," she noted, "And I daresay it would not be impossible to get the Programmer's attention from this point. To look at this hypothetically, Calder, you're going to report to the Programmer that you have discovered one of the Society members. The only issue is, when he attempts to take this member, they will have disappeared into thin air. Ideally with a nice trail of false clues left behind."

Calder's eyes narrowed, taking on an even icier tint than their usual. "Betray someone?" he asked, his voice angry.
"Just that." Alina replied. "Can't you see? If he KNOWS Camila is a member, even if he can't find her, he'll trust you."

Camila thought about it a bit. That plan could work, but do I really want to put myself in danger? It wouldn't be too risky but I would have to hide all the time after that. I'm good at hiding though....

Alina smiled, perceiving Camila's difficulty. "I get it," she said, her tone indicating that she truly did. "I wouldn't suggest it if I didn't think it possible. Perhaps we could hide you somewhere at my place," she said, slowly.

Alina's home was an old building, dating back to the days when hiding places and secret panels were part of everyday life.

Lila had been listening thoughtfully. "Camila," she said, "If you don't want to do it, then I could. With my shape-shifting abilities, I can become completely different in a matter of seconds."

"To be fair," Alina pointed out, rather shyly, "Anyone could, and hideout in my home. But I thought it'd be less risky for Camila - though the same is true for you, Lila."

Calder drew up a chair and sat on it, for once not taking the opportunity to tease. Alina was always a reliable victim; it wasn't difficult to fluster her - except for those time when she fixed him with that unnerving stare from those unnervingly blue eyes.

"No" Camila said "I can do it, I was just a bit worried about what to do after they knew about me. I suppose I'll hide out in Alina's house"
