He scanned them quickly. "Wait - I know who those people are."

"That makes it 300 metres, right?" Alina asked, her brow wrinkled.
"Really? Who are they?" Lila asked curiously.

"Yeah, almost a thousand feet," Mark replied, quickly attaching the antenna.

"I've a feeling this is Alina's mother and sister." Calder replied, frowning as he pushed more boxes towards the ladder.

"Okay. And how tall is the Palace - I haven't ever measured!" Alina asked, with a smile. "One thing it never occurred to me to be curious about!"
She blushed “thanks, normally I wouldn’t it’s just...”
Alina glanced around hearing Tara's voice, "No worries," she said warmly, "And you can explain or not explain whenever you want."

She turned back to Mark, "By the way - are you done with me for the moment? I have something else I need to do,"

Lottie walked over to HQ, she had no idea how to get to Alina’s house which was were she assumed everyone was. She smirked, they honestly followed that girl around like lost puppies. It was kind of sad to be honest, she wasn’t going to lie and say she wasn’t a tiny bit envious of how they hung off the 16 year olds every word in a way they had never hung off her word. She rolled her eyes “it’s just coz she’s smart” she told herself “she’s not the same as you. She’s different. Your more the type who will kill if necessary but she would likely look for a way around it.”

(Aw, I'm hurt! ;) )

Alina walked through the big workroom to the place she'd left her woodworking tools. "Hey, Tara," she called over her shoulder, "Where will you want to be sleeping? I can put you in a spare room or in the hideout, no preference on my part,"

She shook her head “why am I talking to myself?”

(Lol, Lottie can be a bit blunt which is why I think she’s perfect for the new character)
Um a spare room might be nice” she offered stepping forward to look at the machine they were working on.

(Yeah, I always get massively attached to my characters, because they're usually similar to me in at least one way)

Alina nodded, laughing, "You know what? With all this big house, I have no spare bed frames. So if you don't mind sleeping on something pretty crude, I'll knock one together right away."

( I do the same thing, I make my characters share a trait of mine, in this case it’s Lotties blunt attitudeDon’t mind Lottie, she’s just jealous of how the group kinda overlooks her)

“sure” Tara laughed

(Yeah, I get that. It makes it easier to write them convincingly.)

Alina smiled and got right to work, leaving Mark to finish attaching the antenna to the aircraft. He was more than capable and she knew it.
