Heavy footsteps sounded in the hallway and a tall, stalwart-looking man walked in. He showed no major surprise at his kitchen being filled with people he didn't know. Perhaps Chris Kennedy was used to his daughter's idiosyncrasies. Or perhaps it was just his generally unperturbable nature.

"Oh, hello," Mark said, "You must be Alina's dad."
