@My Pretty Pekins u disappeared again lol)
(Sorryyyyy! Yeah, reading this thing takes hours, combined with teaching little brother how to checkmate someone...!!)

Alina had disappeared to goodness-knows-where, and Calder was still hunched over her device, in Mark's hands. He could feel fiery tongues of anger licking at his heart and clenched his fists.

"I'm frustrated," he said, his voice unusually harsh. "Where's Alina - I have to talk something through with her, right away."

Alina was upstairs in her workroom. She had cleared away the mess from before and it was restored to the way she always had it. She was sat at one of the many desks, this one tucked away in a little alcove, and was scribbling rapidly on some graph paper.

She knew what she had to do - what they had to do - but whether she could pull it off was another story entirely.

“I think she went upstairs to her work room” Charlotte said
(For some reason this made me crack up laughing)

Calder did not respond, but ran out of the room and up the stairs immediately. "Alina?" he called, loudly.
"In the workroom!" she responded, glancing up. He came in, incandescent with rage, and she held out a hand to calm him down.
"Cool it," she advised, "We won't help Allan or Tara any if we're not thinking straight."

He groaned, "Of all the moments to have vitakinesis - useless that I am!"
"What rubbish!" Alina retorted, "You never know, they could be injured. But for now, we really have to get going. I'm going to take the flying machine - the scanner's not wired in yet so I'll just take it off. If you can get any of the others - Matt maybe, Charlotte too - they could help."

He looked at her blankly.
"Matt could call up an army of stones. Or anything! He could make the van fight the driver. Whatever, he could be really helpful. Charlotte's smoke can overpower the enemy. Go!" Alina commanded.

Calder ran downstairs, and Alina carefully took the little aircraft up to the long balcony outside the workroom, and put on her helmet, before taking off.

Charlotte looked up and saw the urgency on his face “on it” she said “let’s go. Get in the car and we will drive over there. Millie, get in we can use your charm too”. Mille hurried out the door following Charlotte who was getting into the drivers side, “aren’t you going to let Calder drive?” Millie asked, “I think it’ll be safest with me driving” Charlotte replied
