I sat in the meeting with the SOT (society of truth) it was very interesting, me and Alina really struck up a bit of an alliance I think, I think me and Calder went from being friendly-not friends to being friends! I can’t actually believe it.
Neither can I, Calder murmured to himself.
I will start at the meeting, I teleported in as I usually did, I think I scared the life out of poor Lottie who already seemed on edge about something, I’m not really sure what. Lila and Mark were talking about the programmer, it was quite strange to hear them talking, that’s when I stepped up for a suggestion “what if we move HQ? I can teleport us”. Calder looked at me and in that very annoying drawl of his he basically said I had a terrible idea. Of in that moment when he said that it was all I could do to remind myself he was Calder not Liana.
Oh help, I never meant her to feel that way.
As usual my idea was taken down, I defended myself to Calder but other than that I pretty much remained silent during the meeting, then I noticed Alina sitting there and it appeared she had an idea, now I’d her genius was anything to go off she could have a pretty good idea “guys I think Alina has an idea” I said capturing their attention away from their conversation. Alina ventured her idea which was better than me teleporting everyone, she said we should hide right under their noses because that’s the last place they’ll look. Obviously I’m paraphrasing all of this not direct quoting because I can’t remember what she said exactly.
Don't worry, nobody ever can, Calder chuckled in spire of himself.
It was settled what we would do, I can’t exactly remember that either. But I do remember me getting up to leave and just sitting outside HQ waiting for Mark and Allen to leave so I could bunk in there, tbh it’s where I had been staying the last few nights.
And I was trying to get her kicked out of Alina's? Calder, you horrible person.
I went in and told them what had happened and where I was staying, that’s when Mark and his tech genius mind suggested that I stay with Alina, I was initially reluctant because I hardly knew the girl, eventually everything came out about my parents after I went in. She was so kind to let me stay, I had no idea it was her sisters room, that was until she told me. We ended up talking for what felt like hours until Calder interrupted, he stood in the doorway eavesdropping, I told him I didn’t feel comfortable sharing that in front of him and then I left.
Yeah, that hurt. I felt bad then.
I sat on the stairs for what felt like hours, I seriously contemplated leaving, that’s when Alina told me that Calder was worried that I would take her sister Michaela’s place in her family. I told her that was ridiculous, how could I take her sisters place, that’s when I found out him and Michaela had been engaged.
Wait, so that's how she found out? Alina, how could you have just told someone who's almost a stranger!
Oops. Major oops moment, it wasn’t until I ran into him upstairs, I asked him if we could be friends or at least friendly not friends. He wasn’t as enthusiastic as I had hoped, I won’t lie to you diary I was kind of hurt by this, I was reaching out here only to be rejected by a “I guess so”.
Man alive, I didn't mean to hurt her. How many times am I going to do this to her?
I don’t understand him, or at least I didn’t, not until he came in and apologised, we got to talking and he told me all about the pain he was in over his fiancée’s death, how he wished that her had gotten to be Chris’ son in law and Alina’s brother in law, I pity him.
She pities me? Who just lost her parents? Calder sighed to himself.
I told him about my parents deaths and what had happened with them, I told him about my terrible hate relationship with Liana, there was no love about it. I told him about me and Liana’s pranking each other and about how she was the favourite. When we went down for dinner and we were still sniggering about the jokes we used to pull,
Yeah, that was funny, to be honest. She was clearly good with pranks.
Allen’s radio came through, “Mark, they’re here. They came for me and my fam-“ he was cut off. That’s when Isabel decided to pull on one of my biggest fears and turn into a bird, a bird, of all the things she could turn into. I almost collapsed but I realised how important it was that we save Allen.

I teleported there and Lila changed into a replica of Allen, unfortunately me and the real Allen were captured and had these weird shadow things capture us. That was probably the scariest thing, we were stuck where we were with no way of escaping. I Will admit I was slightly terrified, we were kinda thrown around in the van a little and it wasn’t pleasant.
I bet it wasn't. Poor girl.
That’s when Lottie, crazy lovable daring Lottie cut the van off and her, Calder and Millie got out, Alina landed her flying machine on the van. They somehow got me out as we as Allen unharmed... or so we thought when I teleported back I was overwhelmingly dizzy and I was seeing double, I went a little crazy, I started seeing ghosts after I couldn’t walk, I saw Michaela and my dead parents. It took Calder several times to heal me from that, I think it was those handcuffs.
Me too, Tara. Me too. I can't say it bothered me, though, having to heal you so many times.
the thing is after today I really find myself having a lot of affection towards Calder, and it scares me.
Wait - what?
If I say anything at all which might tip him off that I have a bit of a crush it could mean he will shut me out again.
She doesn't want that?
I’m scared of what I’m feeling, he just lost Michaela and he is in no position to ever fall in love with me.
