((this next part has a lot of Stormdancer in it. I am working on drawing a picture of Stormdancer right now so you can see her. It's almost done, and I've finished my pictures of my other splices already. I'll post them all at once. Anyway, some of Stormdancer's transformation might make more sense after you can see her. :3)
Matthew turned to Sonya, disappointment etched onto his face. "I thought he was just a mutated human... Like he had gotten into something radioactive. It appears that I was wrong."
Jenna crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. She tried to be a faithful student, but it was just too tempting. "DUH." she said.
Stormdancer stared at the spot Maria had been. If she had thought this place had something wrong about it before, she was seriously getting bad vibes now. She was furious as well. Before she knew what she was doing, she was transforming. Her neck grew longer and thicker, and she grew thick golden fur. She could feel herself growing, but she didn't care. She just wanted out. She stopped growing suddenly. Not even caring in her fury, she turned to her few friends, Firebird, Bunny, and Chelsea. "I'm leaving. Now. Come with me if you will." She said. She didn't recognize her own voice. It resonated with an inhuman growl. She didn't care. She crouched down near to the floor, and opened up her wings. The room seemed a bit clearer now, so it wasn't too hard to find room, even though her wingspan had grown with her, and spanned almost 20 feet across. She raised her wings up as high as she could against the low-ish ceiling.
Matthew stared, distracted from the matter at hand. "What is she doing?" He asked. He realized a moment too late. "NO!" he called out.
With a tremendous whoosh, she brought her wings down, leaping straight up at the same time. She held her fists out in front of her, which were now covered in thick black fur. With a resounding crash, she smashed through the ceiling, leaving a gaping hole in her wake. She broke through three more floors before she reached the roof. She busted a big hole in it, flying straight through. Her arms were torn and scratched, streaming blood behind her. But, for just one moment, She didn't care.
Flying was the most wonderful feeling she had ever felt. She felt dizzy with the freedom of it, swooping lazily. Her giant wings made mini whirl-winds behind her.
Firebird gazed up at the hole that Stormdancer had made with awe. It was huge and jagged, still crumbling around the edges. It had blood and tufts of golden fur in it. She could see straight up to the sky through it. Her heart was filled with longing for it, and she felt her wings unfurling behind her.
