The Society ~ RP

"This cave is huge" Danika said, emerging from the depths. She grinned, looking around at the others with her tail wagging slightly. "It goes all the way through the mountain."

Alexis shivered as she watched the way they had come. "They have a helicopter" She informed the others, seeing it with her eagle eyes.

Gwen sighed as the guards retreated back to their posts, out of sight. The room they had woken in was completely sealed off from them now, only the living areas open.

Charles watched quietly as Sonya turned on a screen inside the gym. The video that played showed a short film about the society, it's founders and it's outward mission to help all the earth's people so there would be no more wars, or orphans.
"It is nice-" Stormdancer started to say, when her words were cut off by what started as a rumbling purr, then turned to a loud, echoing growl. She turned back to the face of the cave to see a huge, male grizzly bear towering over the mouth of the cave. She stood there, frozen in shock, for just a moment. The grizzly's hackles raised. He reared up on his hind legs, bearing his teeth in a feral snarl. Phoenix and Chelsea stared, mouths gaping. Bunny smiled. "cooooool." She said.
not cool. deadly. Stormdancer thought. With a growl, she felt herself changing again. Thick fur sweeping down her body in a golden wave. Claws sprouting from her fingers, and her feet turning to paws. Her already tattered clothes stretching tight around her growing frame. She felt a snarl rise in her own throat. In her werewolf form, she was almost as tall as the grizzly. She kneeled, touching her claw-like fingers to the floor, then sprung at the bear, leg muscles rippling. She grabbed it around the middle, locking her jaw around its neck. It fell from her momentum, and they rolled over each other to the edge of the cave. It bit her right shoulder, and she gasped as its formidable teeth sunk into her flesh. She tore herself away from it, her shoulder wound weeping. She dropped back and snarled as the bear got up. Both on all four legs, they circled, snapping at each other. Stormdancer ran up, hitting it on its side with her good shoulder. It fell sideways, scrabbling to get up again. Stormdancer leapt on top of it before it could, and rolled him so she was on top of him. The bear snapped up at her, and she leaned to her side to stop it's jaws from clamping down on her neck... and they rolled over again. Inches from the edge of the cave, they rolled right off the edge.

Firebird ran to the edge of the cave, panic rising in her chest. She looked down the steep side of the cliff, but it was to obscured by trees to see if Stormdancer had made it...

Stormdancer let go of the bear, only yards away from the ground, and snapped out her wings. She jerked upwards, and whimpered at the pain in her wings and injured shoulder.

Danika froze and stared at the bear. She crouched down whimpering softly, then shot forward to the edge and looked down at Stormdancer and the bear.

Alexis turned to face the bear, startled at its sudden appearance. She spread her wings to try to distract it from the others, before Stormdancer changed and fought the bear. She watched the two tumble over the edge and jumped to follow and help where she could.

Quote: Jenna drove down the winding mountain road, fuming. How dare Matthew send her home, as if she couldn't handle herself?! She took a deep breath and counted from one to ten to clear her mind. She would need to make sure her house was safe from the loose splices, and make sure her brother (I think I named him James) was okay. She shuddered. Splices on the loose could prove to be almost apocalyptically bad, depending on what they were spliced with.
She sighed as she pulled up to her modest log cabin. There were very few people who lived on the mountain, other than some of the other scientists. She almost wasn't allowed to bring her little brother here, because of security reasons and whatnot, but they had given in when they realized that James had no interest in science, or anything other than his video games, for that matter.
