Amara would have gladly accepted him as a mate, but he hasn't any experience in life without his parent. She kept going, they might be out here for a while

Narfary had initiated the greeting ceremony to gear up for the hunt. It was finally cooler to actually not get over heated as the ran down their prey. However these ceremonies took a little while. He walked around and licked the nuzzle of his friends and pack mates. He had plans to go after a wilderbeast. Narfary could smell a herd that was fairly close to their home range.

Siena understanding now why they had come out here said, " The choice of a good alpha is not one that should ever be rushed. It will take as long as it takes. If it doesn't offended you, me speaking so plainly to you, Amara?" Siena amended with the last part.

Amara had kept going, she would have to find a mate soon, and if she was out here till the end of spring she would be forced to go back
 
Narfary was walking with the pack on the way to the hunt. They were all doing their high pitched giggly witter of excitement. It felt somehow wrong hunting with out Amara here. But life had to go on in her stead. He could see the wildebeest herd coming into view. He was ready for this. It would take their minds off of that absence of their alpha. Narfary started to trot to get the pack focused on the task.
