Narfary walked over to Magdelegna and Siena and walked in silence for awhile. When he finally spoke, it was more of a reflection, then that of a conversation. "It feels so good to be returning home. There is something about this land. The smells on the wind, the familiarity of the terrain. I don't know, it's like it's a part of us somehow. Like the dust we've breathed, has in some way infused with our blood. Making us one with the land. So that when we die, we repay our debt to the earth. Or perhaps, I'm to sentimental for my own good." He looked at his sisters and smiled sadly.
Siena frowned at Narfary and asked, "What is vexing you brother? I've never seen you this way. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing. It's just different, for you."
Magdelegna stayed silent. But intently watched Narfary.
Narfary thought a moment, then said, "lots of things have become a factor. It wasn't until we were forced off our home and had to live somewhere else, did I realize what a part this land played in our pack. How important it is to our survival and our morale." He shrugged nonchalantly and kept walking. He felt in his bones, something was brewing. But the severity of the consequences, he did not know.
