The Space Travel RolePlay Thread

May I ask your reasoning behind this rule? Why is it needed? What would it improve? etc...

If one person has to many characters, it gets confusing.

The real question then being, is two characters to many?

Also, what is the boundary between talking for an alien/monster/person that we happen to meet (as eenie did with Andrin recently), and having another character? Without it being well defined, this rule would be really hard to enforce.

(Please forgive me if I'm being a little picky. My current job in the Sauran court is picking through proposed laws looking for loopholes.

I think temporarily RPing other characters would be okay, and we should keep the dogs, but other than Steve, only one per person. What think?

(Agreed.

I think my main concern is that this thread could end up like the other roleplays, which often have members joining and instantly adding two or more characters which are similar in all but "appearance". This adds a lot of extra paperwork for the person who "owns" the roleplay, and can be confusing for everyone else. Of course, maybe I'm just wishing that we had enough members for that to be a problem.

The difference between a guest character and a permanent character is hard to explain. A guest character generally only appears for a short time, and can be controlled by anyone. A permanent character sticks around for ever, and is protected by rule #3.)

I agree, although I may not be considered a permanent member.

Alright, so that's 3 yes votes. Anyone against the rule? If there are no 'nay' votes in two days, the rule shall be considered passed, and I shall instruct the new galactic police to began enforcing it.
