I was not expecting all 12 to show veins

I didn't take them out of the bator and I didn't have to. I just put my little flash little on top and tada....it was quiet obvious there was veining. Great packing job!! Great fertility!!

How long have you guys had your eggs in the incubator. I just have them in for day four today and I can't see a thing going on yet. I went to the bathroom and closed the door and used a pretty strong flashlight and nothing yet. I even tried one that I made a tube and narrowed the light down and still nothing. I am hatching others in another incubator and They are in at the same time and nothing on them yet either.
Some of the eggs in the other incubator were from around here where I live and even some of my own so shipping can't be the problem. I'll wait until day 7 to try again. Good luck to all and keep up the posting. Later, dave27889

Dave, let 'em go 10 days and then try again. I have a very small strong flashlight that I dearly love, and it takes a really strong flashlight to see into the egg at 4 days. A regular flashlight just can't cut it. You need a new-fangled LED style flashlight.

Mine candled with some clears, but also some action:
7 good
2 maybe
3 clear

I left the maybe eggs, removed the clears. I'm afraid the maybe eggs will be blood rings in a few days, since the power went out for a couple of hours Tues morning and the temp dropped. I really never thought the maybe eggs had potential but I HATE giving up on any!

A couple of the good eggs still looked good last nght. Didn't candle all of them again, just a spot check to see if there was obvious loss due to the drop in temp.

MY eggs have only been in the bator for 4 day's and I can see veining in all 12. Now the blrw egg I put in there I can not. It is to dark.

It is a led flashlight my husband bought at tractor supply a couple of months ago to help me find my ring that I lost in the chicken coop

I have very few pics up, thus far - but you can see a few of them here......my birds dont like to 'pose' very well. LOL

I need to get my transport cage out and just get pictures of them in the cage, so they wont run off on me.
