Chapter 5
The food boy and little boy come running in and wonder what is going on.
The turkeys got out and can't find their way back in I thought. As the little boy set the turkeys down, food boy repairs the screen where they got out. I zoom over to the turkeys and make my way through the crowd of feathers.
"Oww thawt hert!"
I stepped on Bacons foot.
The turkeys were being questioned on why they ran away...
Then Adam stepped in and screamed,"hey, why don't we all sit down and tell each other where we came from, our names and breed?"
Everyone agreed to that.
Then it occurred to me that I knew almost no one!

Chapter 6
I plopped myself down next to Bacon and Pansy.
"All right, who starts first?" Pansy cheaped.
A melody of "Me's!" rang out.
First came the bantam.
"Hi, my name is Stanley and I'm a columbian OEGB, and I'm from IdealPoultry!"
"Greetings! I'm Bertha and I'm a Buff Orpington. I'm from Ideal."
"Yo! I'm Pansy and I'm a Silver Laced Wyandotte from Mcmurray!"
"Hello, I'm Adam and I'm a Jersey Giant from Privett Hatchery!"
I was next.
" Uh.. Hi everyone I'm Nugget and I'm a California Grey from Mcmurray."
A soft murmur drifted from chick to chick.
"So.. Who's next?"I piped up.
"I will."
My head swiveled over to that melodious voice.
It was the Rhode Island Red.
So beautiful I thought
From that point on I knew she was my true love...

Chapter 7
"Ok little one, introduce yourself!"Adam sounded.
"Good Morning everyone! I'm Brickette and I'm from McMurray."
Her voice nearly made me faint...
"Hey Nugget."Pansy whispered in my ear.
"What?"
"Are you in love with her?!" He motioned torwds Brickette.
"No!" I blushed ( I didn't even know we could do that!)
Yes I told my self.
As everyone introduced themselves, I thought about Brickette.
She seemed to notice.
She got up and walked over to me and sat beside me. She nuzzeld her head into my fluff on my neck.
I then silently made a promise that I would protect her with every last breath in my body.
But then something happened that made my blood run cold...

Chapter 8A flash of light made my blood turn to ice.
But I kept a brave face.
After all, I have a girl next to me
Food boy was in here to and comforted us when the "thunder" rolled.
I got up and went over to the feeder and saw a black thing with pinchers on it's butt.
Brickette ran over to me and pecked at the creature.
It pinched her and she peeped loudly.
That really made me mad!
I pecked the bug(food boy told me what it was)and ate it!
It tasted like the feed but better.
soon, we fell asleep and listened to the rain pat against the window.
Talk about a silent night.

Chapter 9
It was still raining when I woke up.
I was the only one awake. I saw some birds in the cage next to the brooder.
They were chirping and singing about the weather.
Food boy and little boy were on these strange things they call "iPads".
"Hi little guy!" food boy said.
Cheap!( what's up?)
Then a knock came to the door by the brooder.
Everyone woke up then.
Food boy got up and answered it.
Some indistinguishable chatter and food boy came in with a box.
The box had holes in it.
But it was only some thing called a book.
The rest of the day was just grand.
Stanley tried to crow.
All that came out was a squeak...
