hahaha. Well I say the same thing to people who have BEAR problems.....I couldn't not imagine a bear just wondering into my chicken run, sitting down at just eating my chickens

Well at least this Goanna was only interested in eggs and chicks. It could easily catch a hen ( they are extremely fast! ) if it wanted to!

Yeah, that is a hoot, huh?!! I guess I just never saw a chicken attack anyone. LOL I'm also terrified of dogs and married a police officer who had a K9 German Shepherd. A German Shepherd chased my neighbor and I up her front yard tree when I was little too. It actually ripped the sole off of her shoe as she climbed up. (We climbed trees a lot.) I told my DH when he wanted to "introduce" me to his dog, that if the dog barked at me, we'd be finished! He said, "He will bark." I said, "I will leave." The dog never barked and I was o.k. with him. Turned out that I dearly loved that dog. Still very scared of other people's dogs.
Of course, my daughter is now afraid of the chickens and she is the one who wanted them. She is 17. Apparently her favorite, our Rooster, Charlie attacked and spurred her. I think she did something to startle or provoke it. He also attacked my husband, but DH admitted that he was making weird noises and probably deserved it. Thank God, I didn't see Charlie spur them!!! Now I'm a little worried but I have always been very respectful of them, talk softly, and always bring food/treats. They equate me with good stuff. LOL
