@laura s I hatched out a lot, even with my incubator having problems. I think I had 8 nice chicks from them. Then things went horribly wrong. I lost all of them and 27 sultan chicks. I bought a couple of roosters for a project and they brought in disease even though they looked healthy. So I'm gathering eggs and hope it does not transfer thru the eggs. All new chicks are kept on clean land and as far away from adults as possible. When I have enough chicks, I'll cull the adults, lime the ground and start again :( The CCLB and EE mixes were going to be beautiful! It broke my heart watching them go down and culling the sick.

Oh no :( I had a run in with disease myself here once - I lost all my chicks from that year, my sebastopol goslings, and my entire marans flock had to be culled.

Have you considered sending one out for a necropsy so you know what you're dealing with? If it's mycoplasma it'll pass through the eggs :(

Hang in there :hugs

@yellowherb
I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. When your ready, let me know. I'm happy to pass some more blue eggs to you. They are slowing down but I get at least one a day.

@Pyxis It seems to pass from chicken to chicken, but not easily. Whatever this is doesn't seem to pass thru the eggs. I've hatched a few chicks and they are ok.

@laura s Thanks for the egg offer! I'm not sure which direction I'm going to take with a new flock. When I do figure it out I'll let you know if I need some of those beautiful blue eggs :)
