three weeks last Monday - 25 days. I dont want to let him go, that means I have a pair!!!!! But the only way I can keep him is if I can figure out a way to put up another coop. I dont think 'Bird will let another roo - especially a small helpless one stay in with him.

I am hoping I am wrong, or that I can figure something out, because he is 1 in a million.

Aw, shucks! I got my birds from Ideal poultry and I ordered some Crevecoeurs to go with them. Sultans are bantam, Crevecoeurs are large fowl. Anyway, they lived together for about 3 weeks maybe, tops, and then the Crevecoeurs were moved to live with the leghorns that were a week older. That worked out all right, then they all grew up, but the Sultans stayed inside the house a lot longer than the Creves and Leghorns. So anyway, I eventually got the Sultans outside, but I was taking Charlie, my sultan roo, into the house at night 'cause he liked to crow. The Crevecoeur boys didn't start to crow until WAY later, like 14 - 15 weeks, they started to honk funny. Anyway, I gave away two of my creve boys, and only had the one left. So he started to learn to crow, and I had to bring him inside. Now this is very recent history, I put him at first into his own box, then one weekend (2 weeks ago?) I put him and Charlie into diapers and let them roam around the house. They started posing and maybe pecking each other? I didn't see it, I just say my son had taken both of them to the couch and was making them be nice to each other. He sat there with them a long long time, and the birds kinda went to sleep, I don't know what else he did but those boys never fought again, and now they share a crate at night and go to their respective girls in the day, and are good buddies, it's amazing!

Well, I gotta say, mine are almost 19 weeks old now and all of a sudden everyone is getting a beautiful crest and they're just looking lovely! I mean, not ready for a show, LOL, some have a few crest feathers missing on the sides, but even my Creves are filling out and getting glossy and pretty. Charlie's tail feathers are getting long and luxurious. But the fluff at his butt is stained from wearing a daiper, LOL. But heck, it allows me to have him, so I don't mind!
