Aw, shucks! I got my birds from Ideal poultry and I ordered some Crevecoeurs to go with them. Sultans are bantam, Crevecoeurs are large fowl. Anyway, they lived together for about 3 weeks maybe, tops, and then the Crevecoeurs were moved to live with the leghorns that were a week older. That worked out all right, then they all grew up, but the Sultans stayed inside the house a lot longer than the Creves and Leghorns. So anyway, I eventually got the Sultans outside, but I was taking Charlie, my sultan roo, into the house at night 'cause he liked to crow. The Crevecoeur boys didn't start to crow until WAY later, like 14 - 15 weeks, they started to honk funny. Anyway, I gave away two of my creve boys, and only had the one left. So he started to learn to crow, and I had to bring him inside. Now this is very recent history, I put him at first into his own box, then one weekend (2 weeks ago?) I put him and Charlie into diapers and let them roam around the house. They started posing and maybe pecking each other? I didn't see it, I just say my son had taken both of them to the couch and was making them be nice to each other. He sat there with them a long long time, and the birds kinda went to sleep, I don't know what else he did but those boys never fought again, and now they share a crate at night and go to their respective girls in the day, and are good buddies, it's amazing!
