I took pictures of my favorite pullet today. Charlie didn't like me taking her away from him, LOL. I let him hang out in the coop today, I felt sorry for him

. Anyway, I've named her Marilyn Monroe because I'm trying to come up with platinum Blond celebrities

I have one named Betty White and Dina Shore and Doris Day, Goldie Hawn, Carrol Channing, Eva and ZaZa Gabor (the two most ornery birds, LOL)

Anyway, here are some of her closeups. My son wanted to put a flag behind her, LOL







Though the pictures don't show it, I was pleasantly surprised that she has such a nice tail spread

Charlie was 4 1/2 weeks old here, and in broad daylight, they look different. Indoors, I don't know why, but refractive light comes from behind and the skin gets a pinker glow to it.


In your most incriminating picture, the top one, there is a lot of shadow and light coming through the feathers along with the very fleshy little bits in there. It just looks pinker than, I'm certain, it would look in broad daylight. That's the issue I was having when taking pictures in the house - or even looking at them in the house, especially with incandecent lighting.

By the way, she is so freakin cute!

So far they look like girls

My little Jasmine has laid probably 4-5 eggs now and ALL of them have had blood on the outside. OUCH! I feel so bad for her, but she doesn't seem to mind it. I guess she just needs to stretch a bit or something.

and I just remembered, it's hatch day for my Ideal sultans! Yaaay

Hmmm she is 10 months I think? Or almost 10 months. She started laying a couple weeks ago and just started laying regularly a few days ago. I think the banties decided to wait until after winter to get started
