The Sussex thread!

This thread was great to look at. I ordered to Speckled Sussex and look forward to watching them grow.

I ordered salmon favorelles and speckled sussexes, this year to help me decide on a large fowl breed to raise. So far as chicks the speckled Sussex are winning my heart for cuteness, calmness, and curiosity!

I was at a auction yesterday. A pair of Speckled sussix's went through. I wish I would have taken a picture of them they were the best looking sussix's I have ever seen. Really beautiful birds. I probably should have bought them but am full of breeds and really don't need another one. They sold for $50.00.

Where was the auction? Do they have them often?

The auction was in Centurtin. They come in every once in a while but nothing like what was there yesterday. I am kinda kicking myself for not buying them.

Can you tell the difference in a light sussex and a coronation at hatch? I have split sussex eggs hatching right now.
