Hatched out 6 shipped eggs in January that were a Coronation Sussex Roo over Coro/Light Split hens.

I got 4 split pullets, 1 Coronation pullet, and 1 Coronation cockerel.

They are 12 weeks old now.

How do my cockerel and pullet look?

Lots of excitement here! Our Speckled Sussex chicks are hatched out for this batch. 10/12 made it. YAY! Swapped out roo's this evening, to see what he produces. Then I'll be splitting the girls into seperate pens/seperate roo's for more specific and known breeding and see what that produces. Gotta say, though, mixed in a brooder w my Welsummerx OE's, its a bit tough to tell the difference between em in the first few days all clumped up sleepin together!

Luvchicks8 sorry to say but that one looks to be a boy, I can't see his backside real good from the pic. But I can see he is old enough to have started filling in his wing feathers. If by the time he starts to get feathers on the chest area, if he still only has a little fuzz more or less where his tail feathers should be then he will be a boy. Boys are much slower at growing in tail feathers, but when they finally take off of course the feathers are much nicer. I have raised this breed for many years and that is a great way to tell, of course you have to wait untill the chest feathers are coming in so they would be a few weeks old by then.

Working on our Speckled Sussex flock... here are some of the girls. Just aquired a roo and are looking forward to hatching chicks once he is out of quarantine.
Thanks for letting me share. I have enjoyed seeing all the sussex on this list.
