Hello! I just got a Speckled Sussex yesterday. "Susie" is about 1 1/2 years old and is much happier in her new home. There was a mean welsummer who plucked EVERY tail feather out. She must be feeling fine because she gave me an egg today. Seriously. I was standing by my coop/run and she stood right next to me and laid the egg. She lets me handle her and comes whenever I come near. I hope that her tailfeathers will grow back quickly now that she's away from the meanie.
