Grr. Some wild animal thought it would be okay to take a chomp out of my sussex pullet!

. Luckily I saw the hole on the end of her back before it was too late. Man, I hate when that happens.
 
these are my babies much bigger now have to up date pics..ur chick survived my stomach feels ill when i hear this poor thing ..hope she is ok...every time i let mine free range i think about this but my english shepard surrounds them most times..hope all well ...
 
Yeah. We put the chicks outside a few weeks ago and they have been doing fine, but now that it's getting hotter, more animals are out at night.
 
We saw a coyote running the neighbor's fence line a couple of days ago - about 300 feet from our barn. So far it hasn't come into our yard. I've seen bobcats out during the day but never a coyote. I'm hoping the neighbor's dogs will keep the wildlife at bay.
