kind of related, my creamlegbars comb doubled in size recently guess she will start laying soon
maybe they are laying right now..so maybe thats it.
I would like to cross a pair of svart with a pair of black Sumatra to fibro bird with a Sumatra crest

Sumatras don't have crests.

Oh comb, I catch ya now! Sumatras have pretty dark skin to start with, I don't know if they or the Cemani would gain much by a mix. I appreciate each breed separately, they're both gorgeous. If you have both, congratulations!

Has anyone received a woolly (silkied) Svarthona chick from GFF or hatched any? I have 3 that I hatched from an all GFF trio and heard from someone who received a woolly chick direct from GFF. I have confirmed that the woolly variant does occur among the Swedish population, but I don't know how prevalent it is.
Very interesting about the silkied like feathers on these that hatched.

I have hatched about 25 hona chicks...no furry ones yet. (Of course they are only 4 weeks old and younger)
