I look at a swap like this. You sign up knowing you have no control over what you get and when you get it. Sure you can ask for large or bantom, mixed or pure. You know you will get your eggs sometimes after the 15th and before the end of the month. Life happens folks, getting worked up over where/who /what are my eggs is silly.

The first month I did not hatch one of the eggs they came in such bad shape. Last month I had a great hatch and I have 5 chicks running around and I am trying to figure out what they are. Its all in fun. Kind of like buying $10 in lotto tickets, some times it pays, some times it does not.

Every one take a deep breath. If every one gets so worked up about these swaps soon no one will be willing to head them. This is to be fun, not a big stress. I know I pay out more then $20 a month just to take a chance at something. Be it those toy games at the stores the kids have to play, or silly games hopping they will be fun. I like to buy scratchers to instead of candy bars I really do not need. Mony wasted is not fat on my hips!

I know one of these days I am going to get my dream birds in one of these swaps and it will blow my socks off. It will make any bad trade fade away. I will keep playing no matter what I get untill that day. You never know when it will happen. Its all part of the game.

The Swap in my opinion is a wonderful idea for many reasons. You get to meet nice people, collect birds that you enjoy and build a network.

Yes, a network that allows you to learn more about your hobby and bond with others who have similar interest. To the person or persons who started and organized the Swap, my hat is off to you.

I wanted to be a part of this so badly and think its such a great endeavor, even though I dont have birds at the present; I bought eggs to take part in this.

I know that siz did a great job also, and that there is probably an easy fix to the glitch that happened with some. K & H, I don't think anyone was doing or saying anything to make the swap any less fun. Some just prefer to know what they are getting and some don't. To each his own right?it is all in good fun. No one is complaining. Just talking. I can't speak for everyone but I have meant no offense to anyone and I think siz knows that I appreciate all the hard work she puts into it.

Hunting, any time you'd like to send them is fine, but later is better.

We've got a big hatch due on the 27th, and then my bator is sooooo very clear. But DH forgot to lay down 20 eggs and I found them this evening, they are pipped and cleared out of the holes now so I do have room for six eggs.

So whenever, whatever.

Hey everyone,
I've been off line for a few days and just now got my email. I have 38901. Let me know if I need to wait to send your eggs. Does anyone have 14781??
Sue

Yup, from Stacy to Tracy! LOL!!! They are ON the way!!! Do you want the confirmation number or want to just wait for them?

Stacy

Stacy, I can send later - do you mean after the 27th? At your convenience, I know how it is, I have so many staggered hatches, I am "pert near" nuts trying to keep up with them!

Not to mention the broody hens setting everywhere - they will probably hatch at the same time. I already have three with new chicks and one hatching out now. That leaves 6 to go....that's nine broody hens......what am I gonna do with all these chicks????? Go broke feeding them.....
