The Swinging Hens.

So yesterday after noon a guy sees me outside and he yelled "Hey! Are you the guy with the swinging hens!?" I said.. what? I have hens yes. He says well your neighbor told me that you chickens like to swing themselves and that's something i'd like to see. He's like i've owned chickens for years and never seen that happen. And i said maybe you never gave them the opportunity. Anyways.. so my hens love there swing and apparently my neighbors are gossiping about lol haha. Does any of your chickens use there swing? If so drop a pic. I've seen all of them do it. But i can never get a good pic.. When I walk to the coop they run to me and jump off.
And here's just some other pics. THEY HAVE GOTTEN SOO BIG. There only 14 weeks!

That’s awesome! I don’t have pictures to share but are used to have a check and that would swing none of the other chickens would join because they didn’t like the fact that the bar wasn’t secured to anything I imagine. I used to try to put other chickens on the swing but they were just immediately fly off.

I've had some younger birds willing to use a swing before, but so far they've grown out of it once they got bigger.

That's adorable. It's crazy how fast they grow. Such big girls already.

We have a swing, but can't convince the hens to use it. We've tried enticing them with scratch, corn cobs, placing the hen on the swing. Nothing works so far. Hubby is sad, he really wants them to swing haha!

We got our girls as "point of lay" as this is our first foray into having chickens, but that's great advice for when we eventually start with chicks.
