Temperature is the first condition for raising chicks well. The brooding temperature should gradually decrease with the increase of the age of the chicks, so that the chicks gradually adapt to the environmental temperature to enhance their physical fitness, and the temperature should not be fluctuatingly high and low.

Generally, 1~3 days old, temperature 33~35℃; 4~7 days old, temperature 31~33℃; 8~14 days old, temperature 29~31℃; 15~21 days old, temperature 27~29 ℃; 22-28 days old, temperature 24~27℃; 29-35 days old, temperature 22~24℃; 36 days old to transfer group, temperature 18-21℃. The above-mentioned temperature refers to the temperature 5 cm above the ground or the surface of the net bed, which is equivalent to the temperature at the high position of the chicken's back.

Whether the brooding temperature is appropriate can be observed by the temperature and humidity sensor. In order to allow the thermometer to accurately reflect the temperature of the chicken house, the thermometer should be placed far away from the air inlet, heat source, and the back of the chicken. Generally, one is placed for every 1,000 to 2,000 chickens. A thermometer.

In addition to observing the thermometer, it is more important to observe the mental state and activity performance of the chickens. When the temperature is right, the chicks behave lively, have good appetite, moderate drinking, smooth feathers, free form, quiet sleep, comfortable sleeping posture, and the birds are evacuated in a starry pattern; when the temperature is too high, the chicks stay away from the heat source and open their mouths Breathing, drowsiness, increased drinking, and loss of appetite; when the temperature is too low, the chicks are close to the heat source, gather in piles, move slowly, eat and drink less, and often chirp. Temperature control is particularly important for brooding in cages, because the chicks cannot move freely in the cage to find a place with a suitable temperature. If there is a wind, they will huddle and stay away from the wind.

In the early 1-10 days of brooding, due to the high temperature and low water source in the house, the house is easy to dry, and the humidity can be appropriately increased to 60% to 70% to prevent excessive evaporation of water in the young chicks from causing dehydration, which is beneficial to the abdomen Absorption of inner egg yolk. After 10 days of age, due to the increase in body weight, the intake and drinking of the chicks increase, and the amount of breathing and defecation also increases. The brooding house is easy to get wet.

In order to prevent the occurrence of coccidiosis, the humidity should be maintained at 50% to 60%. The commonly used method of humidification is to spray water on the indoor floor regularly, and the commonly used method of dehumidification is to strengthen ventilation, replace the bedding, and prevent water leakage from the drinking fountain. The sign of good humidity is that people feel hot and humid after entering, and will not feel dry and dry nose; chicken feet are moist, tender, and dust-free.
