I'm an editor and my one suggestion is: don't forget to write a paragraph about the "hairy eyeball" you get from some chicks when they just stare at you to decide if you are worth the trouble. Otherwise - so good!!

Actually, that is one of our new guinea fowl and I think they define 'hairy eyeball'! Our two guinea babies look at us as if to say, "You're not my momma! So what are you?"
