The tiny serama; a Hatching adventure

We make the bread version as well, this is actually the traditional way of making it

Also, I'm very surprised you liked it! A lot of people I know can't stand it, and the ones that do, don't leave the house for a full day after eating it!

Are you by any chance part Greek🤣?

It was awfully strong, and I was banned from social interactions for the rest of the day 🤣
Irish ancestors not Greek (I “cleverly” chose my name as my BYC username).

I looked up the recipe and want to make it with potatoes! Maybe when my hubby goes on vaca, and then I won't worry about the amount of garlic. I. LOVE. GARLIC!

I grow my own, and the cloves are big. 6 of these... Ok, this one is one of the biggest. That's a tablespoon.

Please tell us how it goes, and how you like it!

Wow those are some big cloves of garlic!

No, elephant garlic is actually a leek.

I grow BIG garlic cloves. The variety is called "Music." I get 4 or 5 cloves per bulb.

Getting the variety is half the work. The love and nurturing you put into the plant does the other half. You obviously take very good care of your plants, those are some gorgeous cloves!

I will definitely report! I found a recipe online that uses potatoes instead of bread, since I am gluten free. I am not wasting my precious garlic on GF bread. (Even my home made stuff is dense.)

I have home grown potatoes too, and green onions. I'll have to buy a lemon; they don't grow around here. :)

Thank you. One thing to remember if you're growing garlic: It is NOT a root crop. The clove is actually specialized leaves. So go ahead and fertilize with more nitrogen than you would normally for a root crop.

Ditto with onions.
