Here in the desert the girls need to drink lots of water to survive, I didn't know before how that could become an issue so surviving by drinking water brings fighting for nutrition and healthy egg laying
I shot this video talking about it in case there are others who would like to know in the future

I love how interactive my Roo is with the camera lol

Nice video.
One suggestion when the time comes to replace your flock is to get a heat hardy breed rather than a cold hardy breed.
120 is pretty hot. It is going to be 115 here this week but it can also get to minus 20 so it is tricky.
Most chickens can handle cold but heat is another issue.
Mediterranean breeds are among the heat hardy breeds.
Also, there are no vitamins associated with DE.

Thanks for your input! I love buffs though so much I understand what you mean
For me (which I haven't mentioned before) these buffs were already sent to the desert and at the store so I feel like I'm rescuing them bc I do so much for them to keep them cool they were here already and needed me you know?
But I do feel if I ordered them from the hatchery to here I would be doing them a disservice
