Well! It's been a couple weeks after the massacre of that stupid weasel.. still haven't caught it yet. I got five more hens yesterday, along with a male and female guinea fowl. The two seem to be mingling well with the chickens, especially the hen, but they know that they're different than the others.
Rumor has it we're going back to the farmer's market next week to buy some more chickens, quails, pigeons, and who knows what else!

Also, Razor Jr., son of the late and great Tiny Jr. and Razor, is finally, after so long, kind of getting used to me! He used to be SOOO scared of me, but that was just like his father Razor, except Razor was afraid of Mr. Rooster, but he loved me, AND, he knew his own name and responded to me when I called it. I saved Razor when I was ten or so from my dad, because he was going to kill him, and I ran away with that huge beast. After, my dad got to him months later, and it officially was the worst day of my life.
Razor Jr. survived the massacre with Evenite, and knows he needs to fulfill his parent's legacy. They were the greatest chickens in the coop. Hopefully he'll be like the late Mr. Rooster, the greatest Roo that ever did live. Him an Tiny Jr. fought for their lives and the flocks' months ago, dying in the battle against a predator, saving the lives of the other chickens of the flock.

Razor Jr.. He looks just like his father. <3

Evenite, daughter of Tiny Jr.. As a chick, her egg was smashed, and we were about to throw it out. Than, we decided to take her in and cleaned the egg, putting it underneath a heat lamp. It hatched, but she didn't grow much after that. She's the world's smallest Orpington. <3

Razor Jr. and Evenite, the two survivors of the massacre.

No, RJ! You're not a hen! What are you doing in the laying pens?!

Marley Jr. The original Marley was one of the first chickens to die in the flock, a couple years ago. I was so mean to her for no reason, but it made so sad to see her go. She was so adventurous, and has that floppy comb. Just like Marley Jr.. definatly one of my faves in the flock. <3

To be proud or your flock. You can see the guinea fowl in the right hand side. Keep raising 'em well, Rj and my guinea male, Spotasauris Rex!

Another great day has gone by in the coop, and we're hoping for another!

R.I.P - Milly, Willy, Charlie, Midnight, Greenfoot, the Cornish Sisters, and my gorgeous chickens of the flock. Stay strong<3

Dammit! It was raining outside today, not a very good day to stay with the chickens too long. However, I hauled my laptop over to take my daily pictures and videos of my chickens, because, you know, good memories come from pictures and such.

I went inside after half an hour, and uploaded the pictures of my chickens to BYC and Facebook and such, when my dad burst open the door, grabbed a gun, and ran back outside. I had to see what the fuss was about.

As you know, we've been having problems with weasels.
You know what's happening next.
When I got outside, my dad had shot this huge ugly weasel thing.
I looked inside the coop, and saw two chickens, which I had seen not even five minutes before, happy and alive in the rain, dead.
Gone.
It broke my heart into two, and is now bumming me out. I'm really upset about this, and we got them not even three days ago, but my dad said, at least they fought for their lives, he saw one die when he got the gun.

My dad also said he was going for the rooster when he shot the weasel. But thankfully, Rj is still alive. I knew it would not be easy to kill an orpington / barred plymouth rock rooster of Razor and Tj. Razor Jr., well, I knew he wouldn't die.
Evenite survived, and so did Spotasauris Rex and my other guinea fowl hen. Marley Jr. survived, and two other hens.
That's all we have left for now.

Needless to say, three chickens lost their sisters, and the others, lost their friends. Rest in peace, you two. Watch over the rest of the flock for us all. <3

All these pictures were a couple minutes before all this happened.. </3 this kind of makes me feel like it was my fault, it happened as soon as I left.. Like the weasel was waiting for me to leave.

Evenite bringing up my spirits. <3 Love you, girl.

Also, congrats to Paramore! Their new album is being released tomorrow! :)<3

April 10th.
Yeah, well.. today was another rainy day and, well, it's supposed to snow tomorrow. GAH! In April? Really?
The chickens, well, were just being themselves, weird but adorable, like always. Here are some pictures of the day. It was so much fun taking them!

Yeah, well, that was pretty much the day! Bye now, talk to you all soon! :D
