Cats! They don’t have to be walked. They are fine on their own for up to a week if you have to go on vacation or a business trip. They don’t chew shoes. And contrary to popular belief they can be trained. We trained ours to stay off the counters with a spray bottle.
No barking or house training either
Yeah, but they can't fetch.

dogs definitely---the only cat I ever liked acted like a dog---she greeted my friend at the door, was friendly and attentive, and didn't act like she was doing you a favor by being nice
She sounds amazing!! :love mine demands dinner every night 😂🤣

Hmm those are all excellent points!! Although I like the walks. 😁 and mine is very social and gets lonely if we leave her too long though she is fine food wise and everything

Dogs all the way. Cats are gross and poop in a box in your house, then walk across your counters🤢
And lick their butts while sitting on the dinner table!!! True story by the way, many years ago boyfriend invited me over to his family's for dinner. I asked if his mom needed help in the kitchen, maybe set the table, as I looked towards the kitchen, there sat the cat, where we were going to eat, licking his scabby ass!
Ughhhhhh, so gross!!!

They had 2 cats, this one had allergies apparently. It was on medicine but it was just really a gross cat. I felt sorry for it but there's no excuse for a cat being up on a table where you're going to eat food. The other cat they had was really awesome, acted like a dog, he would come running when you called him, play fetch, and hang out with you. And he never jumped up on any furniture, counters, or chairs, he stayed on the floor. If you picked him up and then sat in a chair to pet him, he would squirm to get down, he would only stay on your lap for pets if you sat down on the floor. Maybe he was a dog in a past life lol.

I like cats and dogs. I don't like a cat jumping up on furniture, countertops or taking dumps in my garden, though. I don't care for little dogs, I want a big dog I can give a great big bear hug to. I also want a dog that's protective of the flock and a cat that hunkers down with them instead of trying to attack them. I've met some cool cats at friend's farms, they actually nestle down with baby chicks & got along with all hens & roos, one cat even laid next to a broody hen for weeks, helping her incubate eggs!
I've seen dogs grooming baby chicks and herding the chickens in to safety, then chasing foxes & hawks off. When there is harmony on the farm, it is amazing.
