Cats 100%! I work full time, and my kitties are appreciative of all the time we have together when i get home. We can just chill together in the office and to the cats it qualifies as "spending quality time" with me. I had a 8 month old Queensland heeler puppy earlier in the year and despite spending a couple hours every day with him, it was never enough. He wouldn't leave me alone to let me relax! I ended up re-homing the pup to a nice retired lady, who could spend her whole day with the little guy. Dogs are just to needy! (and smelly )

Aww I’m sorry!! To be fair, those herding breeds are a lot of work!! There are mellower breeds out there! Maybe you could find one eventually?

Or maybe adopt an older dog? I've gotten some great companions that just didn't work out for other people. Sometimes people get sick, divorced, or have to move and leave a perfectly good dog behind.

That’s true!! Older dogs are great too and might be a better option, especially if someone isn’t really sure they like dogs or have the time, it’s a great way to get into them especially since most come house trained and sometimes obedience trained.

That cat did get better, something it would go through once a year, an allergy, be on medicine for a few weeks then be OK. I just never forgot my 1st visit to their home...1st impression, cat licking it's butt on the dinner table.

No...guess that's why I don't get it lol.
I didn't watch much TV aft 1980 so there's a lot of stuff I don't get. Heck I just discovered Seinfeld when I was stuck in a hospital bed 2005. Just saw Big Bang Theory 1st time this pandemic year. Lol
