Gavin smiled slightly and took the cup. He tried to sit up, but gave up after a second. His dignity would be kept better if he stayed down.
(Because, we all know, Gavin's dignity is definitely what he should be worried about at this point :rolleyes:)

While Gavin attempted to drink the water and retain his dignity, Katrina examined the wound. "What happened?" She finally asked.

Gavin choked down a little water but gave up pretty quickly. He set the cup down "I used to know this guy" He started, pausing frequently to caugh and/or breathe "And long story short he was mad at me about sonething"

Katrina took the cup for him. "Is he the man that left in such a hurry while we were in the courtyard?" She left out the part about Cedric having a bloodied knife and pretty much threatening her in the castle.
