Cliffton groaned and urged Clyde into a run, even though he still couldn't keep up with Edwin's horse

Katrina debated about wether to tell Gavin or not. If she did, he would surely leave and that, at the moment, seemed worse than the other possibility. "Gav–" she began, but then stopped herself.

Maud folded her hands in her lap. "Adrienne, might I beg a favor of you?" She asked

Jane let out the ribbon that held her hair in a tight braid. She cantered after the prince's, hair flying behind hair and a big grin on her face. There was nothing quite like the freedom of riding with no one to stop you and tell you do this or do that.
Edwin pressed his horse on faster, eager to not let Jane and Cliffton pass.

"I've been better," Linnet said, still holding on to Peter. The month long absence of seeing him was beginning to be unbearable. "How have you been, my dear?" She asked him.

Richard shrugged. "The kind that tastes good," he said bluntly.

Fawn pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. The stall stunk of manure, but at least it was dark and quiet. She had never really considered the fact that princesses and princes and duke and duchesses and the like were not really much better off than her in terms of choices. That is, she had never really considered it until the thing with Peter and Linnet came up.

Mariah raised an eyebrow, but kept a slight grin on her face. "Audric, what was the last time you actually had a decent conversation with your children?" She asked in a teasing tone.

Peter frowned. "What's wrong?"

Kat sighed. "You're gonna be like that are you?"

"I spoke with Edwin just this morning." Audric said in a matter of fact tone.

Gavin paced th small room he had been hiding in for two months now. He stuffed his few belongings into his pockets and glanced at his pocket watch. He had finally decided. As soon as night fell and no one was awake to see, he would leave.

Peter frowned. "What's wrong?"

Kat sighed. "You're gonna be like that are you?"

"I spoke with Edwin just this morning." Audric said in a matter of fact tone.

"Nothing's wrong. Nothing at all." Linnet dropped her arms to her sides. "Fawn gave you the note, right? That's why you're here?" She asked, looking into his eyes.

"Ah. Good. Well he isn't our only concern or our only child," Mariah stated, as if Audric didn't know that. "I, while you have been busy with political stuff and the like, have been thinking up the next best advantageous marriage. We must, if course, first marry Edwin off to the princess, but then we also have to very eligible daughters of marriageable age!" Mariah paused to take a deep breath.
