*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Alena watched sadly as Edwin left with Jane. They hadn't talked much lately. Edwin thought it was best for them to have distance, so the queen would become less suspicious. Maybe it would be better if she left. But what if she was caught? (Alena is open)

Peter nodded. "Are you sure you're alright. You look a little ill?"

"You're all angry now! What did I do?" Kat said impatiently.

Audric sighed. "Is that really necessary? Who would we even marry then to?"

Linnet smiled and nodded vigorously. "Yes, I'm perfectly fine. I have some news for you, wether it be good or bad you can decide for yourself," she said quietly, resting one hand on her stomach and with the other taking Peter's hand.
~~~
"Nothing," Richard said flatly. Nothing at all.
~~
Mariah shrugged. "Neighboring kingdoms," she said in a matter of fact voice. "Or we could marry them to the first peasant that shows up at the door begging for bread," she added in a sarcastic tone.
~~~

Peter smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Im glad you're alright. Im sorry I've been gone for so long."

Kat smirked and tugged Richards arm towards town. "Then lets go get some pie."

Audric was shocked. "A peasant! My daughters? I will not force them off into poverty! What is wrong with you women? There is no need to rush them. A peasant!"

Linnet tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Peter, I'm fine. Really. But I need to tell you something. Something very important," she said seriously.
~~~
"I was thinking something closer. Like the kitchen," Richard pointed towards the castle. "Besides, I've got stuff to do and this will be quicker."
~~~
"I was not serious about the last part," Mariah said indignantly. "Fine. We don't have to rush them into marriage, but we need to at least start planning!"

"Yeah?" Gavin urged, kind of nervous about what she was going to say.
---
"Sure" Adrienne said through a mouthful of cake, which she knew was very unladylike.
---
Cliffton's horse tripped over a root, sending his princeliness flying into a mud puddle, and crushing his princely dignity.
"Never mind," Katrina said. Wiping her hands on her arpon, she stood and went to the door. "I need to return upstairs before they miss me."
~~~
"I would ask Lady Linnet, but she has so much on her mind of late. Will you talk to your sister? Something is bothering her, but I'm not sure what. And tisn't my place to ask," Maud explained to the girl.
~~~
Jane looked behind her to see how far Cliffton was, just in time to see him go splashing face first into a puddle. "Cliffton!" She turned her horse and ride over to where he was. Edwin, not without some irritation, went to see what was the matter.

"Okay." Peter said.

Kat put her hands on her hips. "I thought you didnt have anything to do." She said with a smirk.

Audric groaned. "Will you never be satisfied." He secretly wanted his little girls with him for as long as possible.

"Peter," Linnet took a deep breath. "You're going to be a father," she said quietly, a smile spreading across her face.
~~~
"Well that was twenty minutes ago," Richard replied in a semi annoyed tone. He was actually enjoying this conversation with this woman, but he wasn't about to let Kat know that.
~~
Mariah sat down on an ottoman. "Perhaps not," she said.
Peter was shocked. He had expected a lot of things, but not this. He was quiet for a moment. "Linnet...what are we going to do?"
"Fine. I'll go get pie then." Kat replied stubbornly, taking a few more steps towards the town.
Audric removed his spectacles (I love that word :p), and rubbed his eyes. "What were you thinking then?"
"I..I don't know," Linnet replied. "We can wait a few months, at the most, before we tell anyone."
~~~
"We can go get pie from the kitchen," Richard stated.
~~~
"Well, you do have anther son too, you know," Mariah said.
