*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Fawn meandered around the hall, simply enjoying the sight and sound of the room. She wore a dark grey gown that laced up the front with a lavender ribbon, part of her hair pulled back in a small bun with the remaining loose down her back. Her mask was the same color as the ribbon, with a few goose feathers she had procured from the cook sewn along the side. She had made it herself in her spare time.
As more guests entered the hall, Fawn worked her way to the back of the room in order to not be noticed too much.

Edmund nodded and bowed as a count and his wife arrived. The herald announced them loudly as they entered the room.
Edmund continued on in this fashion, nodding and bowing to each guest that arrived. But the one particular guest he was searching for was still yet to be seen.

Anna hummed to herself a tune that she had sung when her daughters were infants. She warned her hands around her tea cup, taking small sips till it cooled. She wondered what Katrina was doing at this moment.

Richard, having returned to a frown, followed the two inside. He queen had instructed him to keep an eye on the princesses, but he wasn't sure how well that was going to work. Hopefully Gwen would do her duty and stay near Edwin mostly, giving him enough time to actually enjoy himself. There were plenty of elaborately dressed ladies to dance with and he didn't intend to stand over Gwen's shoulder guarding her all night.
Linnet let Gwen drag her along, pleased to finally be here. However, as soon as they were inside she wanted to go find Peter. She knew she couldn't be with him the whole evening, probably not even half, but what time she could spend with him she would value and enjoy.

(@CLuckcluck1215, where's Elsa? :p )
"No, not yet," Katrina argued. She wanted to give it a few more minutes to see if the person left. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She didn't want to help Alfric, but feared what would happen if she didn't.

(Waiting on Casper. Don't kill me if i don't reply to Alfric XD)

Gwen took a moment to gather herself before going to the doors. "Hello Edmund."

Edmund nodded and bowed, a thin smile on his lips. "Your highness. It is an honor to have you here," he said. He was slightly disappointed, though, that it wasn't who he was expecting. She had never replied to his invite, but he had been told through someone else that she was coming.

Linnet, right behind the princess, bestowed a quick smile on the host along with a fairly deep curtsy. She tried to keep her eyes on Edmhnd while he spoke, but was sorely tempted to begin searching to see if Peter had yet arrived.

Richard stood stiffly beside Linnet, his arm in hers in order to escort her in as the queen requested. He could sense that Linnet didn't like it any more than he did. Two months ago he would of been as pleased as pie to have her on his arm, but the satisfaction had faded since.

(Most everyone is masked, except Edmund because he is greeting people. ;) )

Fawn took a small bite from a cookie, then set it down on her plate. She was curious as to who was here that she knew personally.
(Fent?)
