*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

I beg your pardon?
(never mind  )
(Yes, keep up.)
(Says the girl who missed the crucial post where girl goes unconscious )

Katrina stood there, staring from Alfric to Alena. She wasn't sure what to say or do. She was horrified at what the boy had done in so short a time.

Edwin rushed up the stair case and down the hall, stopping at his room's doorway. It was wide open, and he could hear voices inside. Voices of people that had no right to be in there. He stepped into the room, worried that he was too late. A masked man stood at one end of the long room, a maid he recognized at the other. He scanned the room quickly, his eyes stopping by the bed where a young woman lay. Alena? He rushed over.

Alfric didn't have much time to think. He followed Katrina's horrified gaze, stepping closer to her and looking down at the floor. His eyes widen and he steps back, keeping his eyes locked on the sleeping girls face, how much she looked like the girl in the painting he thought; so peaceful, yet so distant. Like a frozen moment, or a little china doll collecting dust on the mantle.
Just then Edwin rushes in, sweating profusely and panting like a dog. Alfric glances quickly up at him, shaking his head and holding up his hands, searching desperately for the right words to say. He opens his mouth to speak but chokes up. He can feel himself burning up like a match, sure that at any moment he'll burst into flames. He wishes he would. The drum in his head speeds up, his legs twitch anxiously, his body overcome with the overwhelming urge to run.

Edwin kneeled down beside Alena. He knew who it was before he had even see her face. Scooping up her limp body in his arms, he gently pulled her onto his lap.
Katrina, unsure of what to do, slowly walked over to the prince.
"Is she...alive?" Edwin asked her, fearing the worst.
Katrina bent down to feel for Alena's pulse. Nothing. She let out a gasp and backed up a foot, not daring to look in his eyes.
"I'm too late," Edwin muttered under his breath.
Katrina clasped her hand over her mouth to stifle another gasp. Calm down. Think, she told herself. The girl may get have a chance. What could of happened? "Physician. I'll fetch the physician," Katrina said quickly. Alfric was forgotten by her as she rushed out.

Alfric watches on in horror, frozen to the spot. But still the drums beat on. He glances at the door and then back to Edwin, he moves around nervously and then bursts into a run, pushing past Edwin and sprinting down the hallway.
