Alfric was just stopping to wash his hands in the river, and to let India take a long deserved drink, when suddenly she darted up; her ears pricked and her eyes searching for something in the dark tangle of woods. His heart jumped with hers, and he scanned the darkness with wide eyes. He'd heard about the bears which roamed the woods east of Edinburgh castle, and he'd heard the howling of the wolves enough to raise his suspicions. Looking at India she seemed tense, focused. He stayed stock still, his hands still partially submerged in water. Then suddenly, too fast for Alfric to comprehend what exactly had just happened, something burst through the trees and bounded towards them. Alfric saw India startle, toss back her head and neigh loudly, but then everything was blurred, and the air emptied from his lungs in a single gasp. The freezing water stunned him, and it took him a moment to realise where he was. When he resurfaced again the sounds were more distant, he sucked at the air desperately, swallowing more water than oxygen. His head fell under again, weighed down by his fancy dress, and he was lost in a swirl of colours and sounds, unable to tell up from down. Surfacing again, and spluttering for air, his body suddenly caught on something. He grabbed onto it and held on with all his might.

Daisy galloped with all she could, her little heart glad to be rid of that wretched girl. She whinnied and neighed as she ran blindly, guided only by the occasional scent of horse. After several minutes of this wild and free running, she slid to a stop, dust flying all around her. Silence. The dust settled on her chestnut body, turning her to an orangey color. She sniffed a moment, trying to ascertain her bearings. The loud howl of a wolf brought her to her senses.
--------
Emilee ran after Daisy, irritated even more than she had been a few minutes ago. She stopped at a large log to catch her breath and readjust the basket she had slung over her shoulder. This pony was more trouble than her worth, surely. Placing her hands on her thin hips, she called out as loud as her dry throat would allow. "Daisyyyyyy!!"

Alfric clung desperately to the slimy rock, pulling as much of his body above water as he could. He was tired and broken, his arms shaked and his jaw clenched. All he could hear was the rushing of water and his own ragged breathing. He opened his mouth to call out but the words stuck in his throat. The river washed away any illusion of grandure he had once had, and once again he was no more than a scared little boy.

( can I creat a charecter to help Alfric?)

(Silks' character is on her way, but you would have to make a form and ask the OP if you wanted to make a new character. :))

Daisy looked around for the equine she was so sure of having smelled. Seeing nothing that even resembled a horse, she went over to the creek, thirsty from her run, and stuck her nose in. After a long, deep swallow, she looked around again. Her little ears twitched at a funny sound she kept hearing. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted what looked like a human. In the water? She waddled towards it, taking her sweet time as she went along.

Emilee brushed a tear from her face. She was exasperated, mad, cold, and now, lonely. She was tempted to simply return to the cottage, but the thought of returning without Daisy and disappointing Anna wasn't a pleasant thought.
She was growing hungry and thirsty now. The bread and cheese from lunch felt like it had been eaten eons ago. Water could be heard in the nearby, so Emilee decided to head in that direction. Perhaps Daisy would be there.
