*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Maud returned. She smiled at the girl and rooster. She was quite fond of the princesses. "Here is Sir Calder's cake," she said as she set it on the bed.
--
Linnet blushed, and grinned. "Why thank you, Sir Peter. You look quite nice yourself," she replied.

Edmund smiled at Gwen. He held his hand out to her. "Why, whatever is the matter? Don't like me anymore?" He teased.

(Edwin asked Alena to dance)
"Yay! Thank you Maud!" Adrienne exclaimed, setting Calder down beside his cake, so he could eat it without going to too much trouble.

Linnet blushed even deeper. "So..um whose idea was this dinner? The queen's or the king's? Or Edwin's?" She asked

Edmund chuckled, spun Gwen around, then replied, "Nope, you've just been staring at me all evening," he teased.

Edwin smiled. "Of course you could. I'm the prince, I command you to. Besides, no one will see us out here," he said.

Mariah sat down. She decided not to let her daughters' absences from the party ruin her enjoyment.
--
Maud smiled. "Now, don't you get crumbs on that satin bedspread of yours," she chided gently.

(Woo! Thanks Silkie, I'm forever looking for that thing!)

Adrienne hastily brushed the crumbs off of her bedspread for Calder to clean up later. Maud hadn't said anything about the floor

Gavin picked at the knot on the table as he waited for someone to tell him what to do. He accidentally picked out a sizable hunk and quickly wedged it back in, hoping no one had noticed.

Peter chuckled. "Not Edwin's."

Gwen blushed a deep rose color. "I have not!"

Alena frowned. "Since you are forcing me."

(you're welcome! I'll bump it occasionally somewhere for convenience)
Maud turned to leave. She laughed, then turned went out the door. As she went down the hall, she called back, "That goes for the floor as well!"
--
Katrina held her hand out. "Are Ye down? Can I take yer bowl?" She asked
---
Linnet laughed awkwardly. "I didn't think so," she agreed.

Edmund smirked. "Oh, must of just been my imagination," he teased.

Edwin nodded. "Yes, I am." He held his hand out.
---
A horse and rider left Alnwick stables.

Adrienne quickly set Calder down on the floor "Eat those crumbs Cal" She whispered urgently "And no one will ever have to know"
Calder turned up his beak and flew back up onto the bed. Adrienne scowled.
----
Gavin nodded and handed Katrina his bowl "Need some help?" He asked.

Peter smiled and lead her to the center of the dancing people. "How is Gwen taking this...arrangement."

Gwen's blush deepened. "You mist have a very...vivid imagination if you thought that. Why would I be...um.."

Katrina smiled. "Oh, sure, yes. I'll wash, you can dry," she suggested.
---
Linnet smiled at Peter, as they went to dance. "She–well, to be completely honest, it has seriously effected her. She isn't her self, nowadays. Is the same to be said about Edwin?"

Edmund laughed. "Probably," he said.

"You do know how to dance, right?" Edwin asked Alena

Peter shook his head. "Its the same with Edwin. I dont know what id do in his place."

"What do you think of Lady Linnet?" Gwen asked.

"Of course I know how to dance. And even if I didn't, you wouldn't exactly be the best one to show me."
