*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Gavin nodded understandingly "I'll help you do everything" He whispered, standing up "I'll see what I can get in a couple of hours and come back" He opened the door, then turned back toward Katrina "You honestly don't mind me being here?"

"Why, thank ye, Mr. Gavin," she said. "Especially as I don't believe me aunt or uncle will be of much help," she added quietly. "I don't mind ye ere at all. You're better company than they be."

"And you're better company than the squirrels" Gavin laughed quietly "I'll be back in a few" He slipped out the door, determined to bring Katrina back a huge juicy deer.

(I gtg...I, Adrienne, and Gavin (the oh so terrible thief, who isn't at all like I originally had him imagined, lol) will be back in the morning.

Katrina smiled softly. "Nah, it's ok. It helps to get things out, eh? I don't mind hearin' it at all, so if ye ever be a needin' someone to talk to, I'll be here for ye," she said kindly. "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you my story. Not now anyways."
--
"Note? Rose? I didn't leave you a note or a rose," Edmund said.
--
Linnet sat down on the bench. "No. And I think you know why," she snapped.

"Oh." Gwen's happiness faded. "So I guess that means you didn't really want to meet with me then."

Peter looked at her, puzzled. "Did...did I do something wrong?"

Edmund quickly reassured her, "No! No, I still want to see you. But I do wonder how we got notes."
---
Katrina nodded. She watched Gavin leave, then hurried up to the loft. "Jenel, what are we to do about him?" She asked in a loud whisper.
--
Linnet sighed. "I don't know. You tell me. You can start by explaining who that lovely young woman was at the ball," she said, rather loudly.
---
Edwin went down to the kitchen, in search of Alena.

Gwen nodded. "As do I." She paused for a moment. "Do you think they could still be here?"

Peter stared at her for a moment, before bursting out in laughter. "Who Marilyn?"

Edmund looked around. "I don't know. No one followed me," he said as he surveyed the area. "Anyway, I'm here, you're here, wanna walk?"
---
Linnet frowned. "Maybe, I didn't exactly get her name as you danced with her practically the entire night," she retorted.

Gwen smiled. "I'd love to."

Peter's smile faded. "And you were dancing with...that...that knight?"

Katrina followed Jenel down. She went to the bucket of water and began washing dishes.
--
Edmund started walking slowly. "So, to pick up where we left off in our conversation the other day. Are you seriously going to marry that young man who neither loves you, nor you him?"
---
"I was dancing with him, because you were dancing with that woman. First dance, you went to that lady, so Sir Edmund was kind enough to realize I was in need of a partner," Linnet explained hastily.
