*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

(haha where is this going? lol)

Edmund requested that his supper be brought up to his rooms. He changed into dry clothes, then reapplied the salve that the physician has given him. Sitting down in an oversized chair, he picked up a book to read but couldn't focus. He was bored with the current state of things. Nothing had happened in months concerning the supposed marriage contract between the prince and princess, not even a feast between the two kingdoms to prove their alliance.
He set the book down and went over to stand by the fireplace. A feast would be nice. Maybe even a ball.
(haha where is this going? lol i have no idea what to write)

Lariah had been going down the path for what seemed like hours. It had started to rain, and the gravely path was muddy. Lariah had no coat to cover herself, so she picked up Aster's pace. Soon a sign appeared, but it was hard to read. She got closer, squinted her eyes, and saw the foggy outline of Alnwick. Her mined twirled a little bit. It was getting dark and she was getting colder by the second. It can't hurt to stay one night. But she couldn't help but think that it was ironic that the path led her here.

( partayyy. But we need Crazychick and Madam to get their selves back here before we do anything drastic )
(Same here. Just thinking up random ideas that won't seriously affect the story without Crazychick and Madam)
(FYI ole Eddy doesn't live at Alnwick castle, but he lives on Alnwick land at his own castle)

Edmund barely acknowledged the servant who brought a tray heaped with food in. The servant set it down on a table and went to stoke the dying fire.
Edmund went over to the table and sat down. "Yes, a ball would be perfect," he said. The servant looked up, surprised and confused, but quickly returned to the fire. The servant left the room after the fire came back to life.
After picking around his plate for several minutes, Edmund drained the glass of wine then returned to the fireplace. A ball would be the perfect thing to break up the boring monotony that the kingdom was currently in.
-------
Redd sat by himself in the corner, eating a plate of food and making sure to keep his head down. If the servants knew what he was, they would certainly be less vocal about their opinions.

(haha, i don't know what to do know. Your are right about crazychick and madam, they need to get back from vacation ;) )

Before she rode into Alnwick, Lariah undid her braided hair and let it partially cover her face. The harder for people the recognize her the better. It was not exactly the greatest idea stay in Alnwick, but the dusk was nearly over and she was tired. She coaxed Aster on and kept her eyes keen for a promising place to stay,

(Maybe we can just carry on and move to the next day if we want, and just pretend everyone else is on the Same day. :idunno )

Redd sat up straighter, straining his ears when he heard the princess's name spoken. He took a large bite of a roll and tried to chew as quietly as possible. Something about princess Gwen was being said, but he couldn't Define what.
------
Edmund turned abruptly from the fire and went over to his desk. He would write to the king of Alnwick immediately, requesting the Royal family's presence a week from tomorrow for a ball. A week probably wasn't nearly enough time to prepare for a fancy ball, but he didn't particularly care about fancy right now. If they couldn't come, fine by him. He would just go invite the Edinburgh royals. And if they wouldn't come, he'd go invite all the peasants for all he cared.
Edmund pulled out a sheet of his best paper to began writing the invitations.

Linnet, feeling dizzy and weak, ascended the stairs with the help of Fawn. Maud was still downstairs fetching some tea and soup.
Fawn helped Linnet to her room, then hurried out before the maid returned.

Redd pushed his plate away when he had finished. The chatter had died down when a few laundry maids had entered the kitchen. Scowling, Redd stood and slipped out a back door.
Katrina scanned the room for any unattended tray of food she could sneak for Gavin. Seeing a pan of biscuits, she slipped a few into her apron pocket and then went about the room as causal as possible.

Mariah waited impatiently in her room for the servant to return. He still hadn't found Peter or Jane, and he had been searching for nearly an hour. No one seemed to know where either was.
