Herja looked around, hearing the horses stomping made her think someone might be in the stables or at least at the door. She couldn't see much in the darkened stables.

Katrina looked around, nervous. "I brought ye a little something to et," she said said in the same loud whisper. She opened the stall door.Herja looked around, hearing the horses stomping made her think someone might be in the stables or at least at the door. She couldn't see much in the darkened stables.
Katrina held out the rolls to Herja. "'Tis all I could get," she said apologetically. "Has anyone come out?" She asked.Squinting at the sudden brightness of the lamp, Herja reflexively put her arm up to shield herself, causing her to grimace as the horse bite folded against her skin. "Thank you," she grumbled, not meaning to sound snarky.
Katrina held out the rolls to Herja. "'Tis all I could get," she said apologetically. "Has anyone come out?" She asked.
"They be at a ball," Katrina stated, seeing no harm in saying so. "Where d'ye say ye come from?" She asked as she looked cockeyed at the strange woman. Her eyes adjusting, Herja looked up to Katrina. " No, nobody else has come but flies and the barn owl in the loft," she stated as she reached carefully for the rolls, not wanting them to drop on the ground. "It seems awfully quiet here for such a large, obviously wealthy estate." Herja noted the gilded tack hanging along the walls in the tack room across the way, glinting with a smug ornate beauty.
Herja looked uncomfortable at the question. She didn't like being indebted to another person, but in for a penny, in for a pound, as they say... " actually, do ye then you could look at this wound on my shoulder? I can't quite see it particular well, and that horse bit me pretty good. It's stopped bleeding but it is starting to swell a good deal... I am pretty sure that it will need stitches, but I don't think I can reach towards the back. See the hanging bit? That will need to be sewed back on or I'll have quite a gouge there, and I would like to avoid infection if I could, ma'am." Herja turned so Katrina could see the angry looking bite on the back side of her shoulder, cutting into it like a blunted legtrap.Katrina nodded and listened intently as Herja spoke. "Ye must be exhausted, then. I'll be going to let you rest, unless you need anythin else?" She said sweetly.
