Four more days to go until I pick up my peeps.

I am working on the brooder today. I am placing the heat lamp in various positions until I get the right temp. It's been a long haul. I am getting sooooooooo eggcited!

Here is a picture of my booder. Any suggestions?

Petlove, great setup!! That's what I'm moving my peeps to when they get a little bigger. Just waiting for my ToysRus to get the baby pools in stock.

Expecting chicks 4/7 cant wait I'm so anxious I'm about ready to bite my nails, lol. We're expecting quite a few(75), but gee I wanted to order more , thank goodness at least DH can remain reasonable.

I am back to waiting again. Chicks were suppose to ship today but - will be the 23 of this month. Not a big deal, just gives me more time. I ordered from Ideal, they have been great and the surviving chicks from my first shipment are thriving and doing great. The second shipment all arrived alive and well and are also doing great. (1st shipment died due to freezing weather). All these chicks are now 4 & 5 weeks old.
Seems a lot of the hatcheries are having some problems this year. But chicks will eventually arrive and if not there is always next year.
I bet it is tough for these hatcheries to count their chickens before the eggs hatch.

I sure hope mine arrive well today. Its been pretty cold at night and I hope they weren't sitting in the post office all last night freezing!
