The "We received our chicks the week of 2/17, give or take" Club

Hopping into the brooder for the night. Yes, a line always forms. Especially if someone decides to just sit in the doorway, lol!

I'll go out and take pics of the whole thing this morning and show you. My hubby is so great, he built it all for me!

Here is the outside of the barn. Still in the middle of painting it, but you can see where the baby chick run attaches to the stall turned chicken coop. There will be another little door cut out of the barn next to the run so we can move it over when all the grass and stuff has been pecked.

Here's the stall turned chicken coop.

Inside of the coop with the door leading out to the run.

The brooder inside the coop. I have to finish painting the little hands to look like chicks.

Sorry if some of these pics are duplicates from before. Just wanted to show you the whole setup.

That's awesome we are turning a stall into a coop too but I'm paranoid about predators I won't put them in unless it's Fort Knox! Lol

I don't blame you. If the babies weren't locked in the brooder at night, they wouldn't be in this coop since it's chicken wire. Hubby is building the "juvenile coop" with different materials.

Lol! If we didn't have neighbors and cross fencing everywhere, I would do the same thing. In fact, I started looking into all of that and then thought, wait, we've had chickens and so have our neighbors for a few years now so just relax and don't go overboard.

P.S. Hubby made an automatic waterer for my babies today! He also did the trench work to make an automatic waterer for my big girls. I'll get pics tomorrow!

Oops, forgot to gets pics of the waterer. Will get them soon.

In this pic these two are Partridge Rocks. Does the one closest to the camera look like a roo??
